"In North RIft, twenty girls have been impregnated by either their teachers or Boda Boda operators," he said.

Speaking in his office on Monday, Chemno said Transnzoia, Elgeiyo Marakwet and Uasin Gishu county are the mostly affected.

"We have arrested those involved and will soon be taken to court, I will continue to protect the girl child until they complete their Education," he said.

He however, urged parents to take care of their children by being close to them which will be easier to monitor their behavior.

"Parents have failed in guiding their children leaving them to their teachers, social media and peer groups leading to unwanted pregnancies," he said.
