Uasin Gishu County deputy Governor Daniel Chemno has applauded IEBC, saying they have conducted a free and fair election.

He said the voting process was faster and efficient compared to that of any other election done since independence.

"I am shocked that I have only used 3 minutes to cast my vote, this is commendable," he said after casting his vote at Dry's Primary school Ainabkoi Sub County.

"I call upon those who haven't voted to come out and vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta since he has done slot to Kenyans," he added.

The deputy governor urged residents to maintain peace during and after the presidential election.

"This is our country and should ensure we have peace at all cost since once destroyed we will not have a spare Country," noted Chemno.
