Speaking during the 5th graduation ceremony of the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Training Center on Friday, Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno reiterated their commitment to improving health service delivery.

Chemno said the county government is actively finding new ways of making health services affordable to its residents.

"In this financial year 36 percent of our budget was put in the Health sector that helped us in hiring 365 nurses. The allocation has also allowed us to renovate twenty five health centers within the county," he said.

He said in the next two years, the Uasin Gishu government will be opening two dialysis centres that will help patients with kidney problems.

"After the two dialysis centres are opened and the twenty five health centers functional, congestion at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital will be eased for it will just remain a referral centre," he added.
