Uasin Gishu county deputy governor Daniel Chemno has challenged tertiary institutions to help the government in the fight against corruption by introducing anti-corruption studies in their syllabus.
Speaking during the first graduation ceremony for Tropical College of Management, Chemno said that through the introduction of the unit, corruption will be curbed at a tender age and thus cases of corruption will be a thing of the past.
"I Urge tertiary institutions management to come up with a syllabus that will teach their students on the dangers of corruption as a means to fight it," he said.
Chemno said through giving them the required information on the dangers of corruption, after completing their courses they will undertake their duties professionally without the indulgence of corruption.
He said the fight against corruption cannot be fought by one individual, but it requires everyone's efforts.
"Corruption is a vice that needs double efforts for its fight to be successful and with the introduction of anti-corruption unit in learning institutions, students will grow up knowing the dangers of corruption," he added.
