Kwale County Women Representative Zainab Chidzuga has accused Governor Salim Mvurya of plotting her downfall.
Speaking during an interview with CitizenTV, Chidzuga downplayed allegations that Fatuma Tabwara will dethrone her, adding that Mvurya is behind her candidature. According to Chidzuga, Tabwara’s decision to enter the race was fueled by the differences between her and Governor Mvurya. The outspoken leader argued that Tabwara is Mvurya’s political stooge adding that she no agenda for the people of Kwale. Chidzuga also said she deserves another term in office because she has transformed the lives of youth, women and Kwale residents in general.She promised Tabwara a run for her money as she looks forward to becoming the next Kwale Woman Rep.On her part, Tabwara accused Chidzuga of failing to honour her pre-election promises, adding that she has been a thorn in the flesh of Governor Mvurya.The aspirant blamed Chidzuga for the stalling projects in the county, arguing that she has been engaging Mvurya in a war of words instead of allowing him to concentrate on development matters.
