Kwale Women Representative Zainab Chidzuga has urged locals to thoroughly vet and scrutinize aspirants eying various seats in the August 8 general election.

Chidzuga said some aspirants contesting for political seats are not fit to hold public office.She warned that it will be disastrous if people with questionable character will end up being elected to public office in the August 8 polls.“I want to appeal to Kwale people and Kenyans at large to do thorough vetting on all aspirants seeking political office and only endorse those who meet the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution,” she said as quoted by the Standard.Chidzuga said the country has suffered in the hands of a few leaders with questionable integrity issues, adding that development will be realised only if corrupt and selfish leaders are rejected at the ballot.The Women Rep said Kenyans have an opportunity to decide on their future by electing responsible and development conscious leaders.
