Chidzuga claims that NASA is intimidating IEBC through its suspicious demands.
Speaking to journalists after a meeting convened by Jubilee party officials in Kwale Town on Tuesday, the former Raila Odinga ally said that IEBC might end up not conducting fair repeat poll if NASA is allowed to continue dictating on how the commission should work.
The former Woman Representative claimed that NASA is afraid of facing off with President Uhuru Kenyatta and is trying to use dubious ways to get power.
She claimed that NASA leaders are hungry for power and do not consider the interests of the country. “It is clear that NASA leaders want to scuttle the repeat poll and provide a way of negotiating with a coalition government,” she said as quoted by the People Daily.
Chidzuga further alleged that NASA’s agenda is to cause a political and constitutional crisis in the country.
She claimed that NASA does not have the numbers to win and is looking for unconstitutional ways of getting into office.
She asked President Uhuru Kenyatta and the IEBC to be firm and not play to Raila’s tune.
The former Odinga ally appealed to Kenyans to remain peaceful and shun activity that will jeopardize peace.
Chidzuga lost in the recently concluded general election to ODM's Zuleikha Juma. She is among Jubilee losers who are hoping for prestigious government positions in case President Kenyatta wins re-election in the repeat presidential poll slated for next month.
