Ayuma who has been in the forefront to fight against illicit brew in the area has been praised by locals who have appreciated his leadership in the area.

Ayuma today morning with Miji Kumi leaders did a crack down on illicit brew at Nyabiosi village where more than 400 liters of illicit brew was poured.

"I will never stop the fight against selling and drinking of illicit liquors in my location. My office is so vigilant and there will  be no sleep for those who engage in the business. I will ensure they suffer losses," Ayuma said.

Dennis Moseti congratulated the assistant chief for his efforts to end the illegal business in the area.

"Illicit brew should be condemned and brought to an end. Many families has lost their loved ones from drinking chang'aa. Our chief should go round house to house to seek and pour illicit brew," noted Moseti.

Moseti accused administration police officers who collaborate with illicit brew dealers in the area by accepting bribes.

"Police officers from Igonga and Nyamagundo posts have turned to be so corrupt. Instead of arresting illicit brew dealers they ask for bribes and leave the illegal business to spoil people in society," said moseti.

"They should wake up and work before we go on rampage to ask for their removal from here. Police officers should help the chief to fight such vices in the community," he stated.

Micah Atandi said that it is high time for members of the society to end illicit brews and embark on other businesses that sbring development in society.

"We will give our chief support whenever he faces opposition and criticism against fighting illicit liquors. Chang'aa and other drugs have spoilt young people in the area. The only way to save such lives is by ending the making, selling and drinking of local illicit brew," said Atandi.
