Four people were on Tuesday arrested and and 3,500 litres of illicit brew destroyed during a major crackdown at Miruka in Nyamira County.
"We have have taken four people into book over elicit brew and destroyed 3,500 litres of it," said area chief Duncan Moriasi.
Moriasi said that they will continue to destroy and take anyone found doing the business into custody and arraign them in court.
"We will continue with the crack down until we finish this illicit brew once and for all, and the culprits will be arraigned in court," said chief.
The brewing of illicit brew in Nyamira has been an issue forcing young people to drop out of school and indulge in drinking.
Lots of alcohol containers were destroyed during the crack down while others are at Nyamira police station as exhibit for the ones to be arraigned in court.
