The area Police Commander John Kamau said that they were informed of a distress in the county headquarters and sent officers officers to the scene immediately.

Reports indicate that Mr. Ouya allegedly summoned two people from the governor’s security detail to his office, and allegedly told them that he would shoot their boss.

Following the threat, the officers attached to Nyong'o's security team reached out to their boss who reported the matter to the police.

“A search was conducted in Mr. Ouya’s office but no gun was found,” The County Police Commander told Citizen TV.

Mr. Ouya is a licensed fire arm holder. The Chief of Staff was taken to the Central Police Station in Kisumu for questioning and released after a few hours.

Governor Nyong’o’s security team was also summoned to record a statement. Kamau said the matter is still under investigation.
