Speaking to the press at his office Tuesday, Koki warned that no criminal will be spared stating that they have mapped out strategies to deal with lawbreakers.

He said that a section of residents have complained of the rise in criminal activities and petty theft.

“I have received complaints about the rise in criminal activities and want to warn the said criminals that their time is over,” he said.

Koki directed village elders and youth leaders to work with his office and the police to tame crime. He said that elders are the people on the ground and that they should monitor activities and report.

The chief assured residents of the commitment to maintain law and order noting that various measures are being employed to curb insecurity.

Koki urged locals to adopt the Nyumba Kumi initiative saying it will scale up the fight against crime in the area.
