Mwatate location assistant chief Raphael Kilonzo has urged Matungulu MP Mutinda Mule to allocate funds towards completion of police officers house project.
Speaking during a baraza in his office, Kilonzo said the move will help to improve security in the area.
Kilonzo urged Mule, to allocate some money from the Constituency Development Funds (CDF) for the completion of the project.
“ I am calling upon our MP to consider allocating some funds in the completion of the project so that we can help to boost security in this area,” said Kilonzo.
Kilonzo has cited that rowdy youth and law breakers have taken advantage of the situation and made the area a crime zone.
“Unruly youth, drug users and peddlers have been frequenting this area taking advantage of the loose security,” notes Kilonzo.
Kilonzo noted that the police officers who were previously allocated to work in the area were relocated to Mbiuni police station due to lack of accommodation.
