Residents in Pioneer Estate, Eldoret have been asked to embrace the Nyumba Kumi initiative, to enhance security.
Area Chief Philip Chemongok also asked residents living in Rescos, Hill School, and Kipkenyo estates to remain vigilant and cooperate with authorities to ensure security.
Speaking Friday, at Televised PAG Church, he said they had identified several suspected criminals living in Langas estate who were in possession of fire arm, used to attack locals.
''It is the duty of everyone to report suspected criminals to the authorities, for them to be arrested," said Chemongok.
He added: ''Everyone should ensure they have at least ten contacts from their neighbors. This will help in identifying unfamiliar individuals in our estates."
