Mlolongo Chief David Kilonzo has warned youths in the area against taking part in criminal activities.
The chief observes that many young especially those who sat for their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) last year are engaging in crime.
He warned that the law will not spare anyone found taking part in criminal activities.
“We want to caution young people against joining and taking part in criminal activities,” he said.
Kilonzo instead asked them to be patient as they wait for their KCSE results.
He at the same time urged parents to monitor movements of their kids noting that they will also be responsible to what happens to them.
Meanwhile, Kilonzo has appealed to locals to continue supporting security measures such as Nyumba Kumi Initiative.
He said that crime will only be fought if residents work with the police and get to know their neighbours.
Kilonzopromised to crackdown on criminals who are said to be causing havoc in the area.
“What we need is a good working relation from the members of the public and crime will be a thing of the past,” the Chief reiterated.
