As one way of making work easy to administrators in locations and sub-locations, the Ministry of interior and coordination of national government has set resources in which they will provide motorcycles to all chiefs across the county.
Speaking during the meeting with Kisii county administrators early this week, the Interior Principal secretary Karanja Kibicho assured all chiefs who are yet to receive the motorcycles that government has set resources of purchasing those motors.
“The Government has set resources in the next financial year in aid of purchasing the motorcycles which will be given to our chiefs,” Kibicho Said.
He added that in the first phase they donated 3,000 motorcycles as they are looking forward to donating others in the second phase since they have finalised all measures for the other 1,500 chiefs to receive theirs.
“At the first phase we were able to distribute 3,000 motorcycles, we also have measures of distributing the motorcycles to all who did not get,” he added.
He also challenged the chiefs to strengthen their work so as to curb the crimes within their locality.
