County Commissioner John Elungata has ordered all chiefs to arrest illicit liqour brewers in the county.
Mr Elanguta said their are some illicit brewing dens still operating in the county yet some of the chiefs and their assistants are aware of their existence.
"We are aware of some people who are still brewing illicit liqour despite the ongoing crackdown. The worst part is that chiefs are aware of such businesses running but they are not doing enough," said Elungata.
Elungata said that chief are the government representatives on the ground as they cover a small area, and there is no way liqour brewing can be thriving without their knowledge.
"We are aware of chiefs who collude with this brewers as they bribe them to keep quite, to such chiefs sack is the only thing they will face if we ever find them," added Elungata.
Elungata said that illicit liqour has ruined many lives and destroyed many families and it will be wrong if any administrative officer supports such businesses.
"Chiefs should be on the forefront educating people on the dangers of consuming illicit liqour but not supporting. They are our eyes at the grass root level and they should only promote the well being of the people," said Elungata.
