Kids in Nakuru had a day full of fun during the Book Club day at Kenya National Library Services in on Saturday.

The kids were treated to tantalizing music, rib cracking and educative stories, skits and acrobats during the event for kids aged between seven and fifteen years.

The event that took place at KNLS was organised to help instill a reading culture and a desire for knowledge into the children, and it was an action-packed occasion from beginning to the end.

Speaking after the event, Angela Nyamisi, the event organiser promised the kids more of such events and encouraged them to continue turning up in large numbers for such educative programmes.

“It was such a pleasure to have the kids and I promise that these events will go on regularly especially during this festive season. I encourage you all to continue attending and bring your friends with you,” said Nyamisi.

The Chief Guest at the event, Shel Arensen, author of children’s books based in Naivasha entertained the children further with special skits.

The children were also involved in storytelling, poetry, singing, reading and the best performer in each category was given a voucher worth Sh1000 to buy books.
