[Photo|Twitter]Ezra Chiloba, the embattled Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) CEO, has defended server sign-in attempts that were done using the chairman Wafula Chebukati's name during August 8 general elections. He said the transactions took place during sending of election results to national tallying centre, Bomas of Kenya, since the results to be verified and processed before being sent."The account was active from 31st July to 13th August. During that period, there were several trials made to confirm the account works properly, thus amounting to more than 9000 logins," revealed Chiloba, Wednesday.During an interview on one of the local television stations, Chiloba acknowledged that transmission of results faced hitches, which served as a lesson to the IEBC. He however said the elections were free and fair, and further maintained that he was not going anywhere, following calls by NASA, that he resigns before October 26 fresh presidential election."Deep down my heart, Kenyans are convinced that we conducted far much better elections than any other that has been conducted in the country."
