IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba has for the first time talked about his future at the electoral agency.

Over the recent past, Chiloba has come under scrutiny over alleged mismanagement of the August 8 presidential polls that were nullified by the Supreme Court.

In an interview with Nation, Chiloba said that he is ready to step out if he is indeed found guilty of mismanaging the polls.

Chiloba stated that to date, nobody has asked him to resign.

"Not at all. No one has been asked to resign," said Chiloba.

He further stated that IEBC was keen on looking at the detailed Supreme Court ruling before making any decision.

"The position of the commission has been that we need to wait for the detailed judgment from the Supreme Court, audit ourselves and look at the areas for improvement,  then we move from there. The question about resignation becomes difficult now because no one is able to tell where the responsibility lies, unless you get the details," he said.

On Thursday, a leaked memo from indicated that chair Wafula Chebukati had hit Chiloba with 12 demands over the August 8 polls
