IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba has called for an additional Sh3.7 Billion for the repeat presidential election.

This is after the Cabinet approved Sh10 Billion to facilitate preparation for the repeat presidential election set for October 26.

IEBC had earlier requested for Sh12.2 Billion to preside over the polls after nullification by the Supreme Court.

Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich had projected that the election would cost more than Sh15 billion.

However, it is not clear whether all the candidates will take part in the repeat polls considering that NASA presidential flagbearer has threatened to boycott the polls.

NASA wants IEBC to meet a number of its demands among them the resignation of Chiloba.
