A delegation of Chinese investors paid a courtesy call to Kisumu County Deputy Governor Dr. Ochieng' Owili at his office on Thursday.
The investors are set to pump in a sum of 120 million USD (Sh12.3 million) for fish farming in the County.
Their target areas include setting up a fish processing plant and a fish feeding processing plant in the county.
Owili said this will create job opportunities to at least 500 households, with the time the bound project scheduled to kick off early 2018.
Present at the meeting was CEC for Agriculture Gilchrist Okuom, Economic Planning CeC Richard Ogendo and the Governor Anyang Nyong'o's Advisor on Resource mobilization, Victor Nyagaya.
