Speaking to this writer on Wednesday, the flamboyant youthful politician said many youths in the area were involved in premarital sex, besides engaging in drug related activities that threatens their future.

He said the cash should be channeled through the ministry of culture and youths and disbursed to every county, to hire professional and qualified counselors.

“I would like to urge my fellow MCAs to support a legislation that I have come up with that will see some funds set aside in the ministry of culture and youths to support guidance and counseling session,” said Oino.

“Our youths are engaging in illicit sex activities and some are in drug trafficking. This will render the young generation useless, and I cannot sit watching it happen. The county should hire qualified counselors to foresee the exercise,” he added.

He challenged the ministry of youths and culture to reach out to more youths in the county through initiating income generating activities, as a way of making them realize the fruits of devolution.

“The county executive in charge of the youths should do more in the grass root areas by coming up with innovative ideas that can help the young generation. We don’t want to hear them complaining of isolation anymore,” he said.
