[Photo: nation.co.ke]Kisumu Senator Anyang Nyong'o has insinuated that the government could have a hand in the killing of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ICT Manager Chris Musando.Nyong'o who has close relations with the murdered senior IEBC employee said on Monday evening that Musando could have been eliminated by those who are 'hell bent on rigging this election'."Somebody knew that if the electoral laws and procedures were going to be implemented the way Musando was trying to do he will lose this election. So what do you do? You kill Musando just like the other people have been killed who have been trying to fight corruption in this country," Nyong'o told NTV alluding to the mysterious and unresolved death of city businessman Jacob Juma in 2016.The Senator whose wife Dorothy Nyong'o is a first cousin to Musando's wife, said that the State does not want the truth to be told and the wrong things cleaned and has, therefore, resorted to killing the 'prophets'.He said that that the country must now reconcile itself with the truth saying lies and injustices that have been told to the citizenry for too long are about to explode."Why revolutions happen is because people come to a point that they are fed up and they say to hell with you. And they will throw you out with all kind of ways. In order to avoid that we must have truth, justice and reconciliation," added Nyong'o.
Already, Police Spokesman Charles Owino has warned Kenyans against speculating the cause of Musando's death.
Owino said speculation and rumour-mongering may lead to investigations and other issues being derailed making it hard to establish the truth.
