[Photo|Anyang' Nyong'o]The joy of brightening other lives, bearing each others burden, easing others loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes for us the magic of the holidays. In celebratory spirit with the less fortunate families in Kisumu County during this festive season, Governor Prof Anyang' Nyong'o kept his promise to build a shelter to the mother of Titus Okul. Titus is the Maseno University late student whose life was cut short by a police bullet at Kombewa, Seme on the October 26, elections boycott in Kisumu County. At his burial, the mother said that Titus had promised to build her a house on completion of his studies only to be robbed away by the cruel arm of death due to police brutality. In making this promise a reality, Nyong'o promised to build her a house. The family received building materials from the Governor through the area MCA Sally Okudo on Saturday. A fortnight ago a family lost all their belongings after their house was gutted down by fire in South West Nyakach. The family also received building materials from the governor on Saturday through a team from the county government of Kisumu to put up a new structure.Present during the presentation at Achi Ngure village was South West Nyakach area MCA Guard Olima.
