Worshippers in a Kuresoi church now want the government through the Ministry of Lands to help recover a parcel of land that was allegedly stolen from them

The church, located in Jogoo area in Kamara said that the land was taken by one of their estranged pastor who has since refused with all its legal document. This has forced them to hire out lands to hold out worship services.

The Apostolic Overcoming Holy Church of God (AOH) was started in America in 1916 before spreading to other nations.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday the church Bishop Alexander Moi said that AOH had suffered in terms of looking for different locations to carry out their services due to this issue.

He added that the estranged pastor, who was chased away from the church, has been using the land for his own benefits for seven years.

The faithful said that the pastor has been using the church property for his own benefit which has hence blocked any development in the property.

''We had plans to construct a permanent church but because we did not have the legal documents we could not do anything,'' said Moi.

Moi said that the estranged pastor had at one time tried to get the title deed of the land through the Ministry of Lands but the church was alerted by the a local land officer who helped stop the process from taking place.
