Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago has called on the church to help preaching peace and harmony as the country prepares for general election.

He credited the Church, saying it plays a critical role in ensuring peace from the village to the national level.

"Churches are key institutions that help our country to undertake sober politics. We need peace from the ground to the national level. The church should not get tired of helping to achieve this," Mandago said during a church function in Soi Sub-county, Sunday.

Flanked by Kapseret lawmaker Oscar Sudi, the governor further urged politicians to play constructive politics and utter statements that unite the Country.
