This happened when a school Bus they were travelling on to a funeral service at Manga burst one of its tyre and veered of the road.

According to eye witnesses, the Matutu-Manga bound Menyenya school Bus was moving at a high speed before one of its tyre was pluck by a suspected sharp object.

“He was moving at a high speed and suddenly this was a large burst. They are lucky because the bus slightly veered off the road since the place is flat,"said Jackson Michira, an eye witness.

He said most of the choir members were women and were estimated to be only 30 whereby majority of them never sustained serious injuries.

“Most of this people were women from Matutu SDA church who were going to burry a church member. It is only two who sustained serious head injuries perhaps from hard knocks but many of them were very okay," he said.

The driver of the Bus was taken to Matutu police station for further questioning where he may be charged with careless driving.

“We got the information and arrived at the scene soon enough and we have arrested the driver for further questioning," said Constable Alfred Kipkorir.
