Deliverance Churches of Kenya chair Bishop Mark Kariuki. He has refuted claims linking the church to either Jubilee or NASA. (www.capitalfm.co.ke)The Chair of the Deliverance Churches of Kenya Bishop Mark Kariuki has dismissed claims that the church has been split between supporting either Jubilee or NASA on the presidential ballot printing issue.
According to the bishop, the church is neutral on the issue and is in fact calling on the two politial outfits to solve the stalemate as fast as possible before the August polls.
"The church is neither supporting Jubilee nor NASA. The church is a neutral body that is in fact calling for a faster solution to the ongoing presidential ballot printing stalemate," said Bishop Kariuki.
Bishop Kariuki further called on the politicians to stop castigating IEBC on every issue it has set to do as this is only creating mistrust from Kenyans.
"The country needs politicians to stop demonizing IEBC on every issue it undertakes to do. This only creates mistrust from Kenyans," added bishop Kariuki.
The bishop however wants politicians from both political outfits to support the electoral body for the country to have peaceful elections come August 8th.
He made the remarks during an interview on Citizen TV on Wednesday.
