Church leaders yesterday urged Kenyans to show love peace and humility to each and every person as they addressed their congregations at St Anne’s Catholic Church, Kisumu.
“This is the season we should be showing love peace and humility. It is the duty of each and every one of us to be our brother’s keeper. What is the point of us living comfortable lives while our brothers and sisters out there are in the open with no food and place to shelter. Does that make us feel good in any way? No, we should always be generous and look out for the welfare of others in the community,” said Fr George Adhiambo.
“We are ushering in ta new year 2016 which we anticipate it to be peaceful and prosperous. Be peaceful, avoid religious conflicts. We are never at war with any religion but we are a one nation God has put us together,” he added.
Sister Martha Ouma spoke of the same message urging Christians to extend love peace and humility in the coming year.
“We Christians should lead as an example to all the people, we should love all, show peace and humility to everyone,'' urged Ouma.
