Religious leaders have been challenged to be on the frontline in fostering for a peaceful co-existing in the country.
Speaking on Sunday during his graduation cum celebration of six years in service of the Anglican Church, Reverend Gadiel Lenin has called on all church leaders to ensure they preach peace across the country.
“Because of the prevailing environment, we are moving into it and that is the role of truth and reconciliation, and I want to support the church for that, but I also want to say about when focusing on the above, you must try to exercise the highest degree of impartiality,”
ACK Church Reverend Jackson Ole Sapit has said the church will stand firm in ensuring there is unity and peace among leaders and Kenyans at large.
“It is our aim to point out when things are not okay, if it is NASA or Jubilee, we will point out whenever it is wrong,” said Ole Sapit.
The church is expected to play a key role in uniting a divided nation, which was an occurrence of the October 26 elections.
Many have attacked the church for being too quiet when the country seems to be heading in the wrong direction.
