Ever since the Church of Satan opened doors in Nairobi, nothing much has been talked about it as people fear being 'followed' by Satan while those in it are discouraged from preaching openly.
However, information has always seeped from the religious group and now we have their nine commandments in the public domain.
According to these commandments, everything must be done contrary to the ten commandments in the Abrahamic religions.
The nine statements bring out what 'Satan' himself does represent in the church.
One, Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence.
Two, Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams.
Satan stands for undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit.
He represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates.
Satan stands for vengeance instead of turning the other cheek.
He also stands for responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires.
According to their creed, Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better but more often worse than those animals walking on all-fours.
Because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development”, this man has become the most vicious animal of all.
Satan represents all of the 'so-called' sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification.
In line with the nine commandments, one dominant belief is that “satanic sins” are stupidity, self-deceit, pretentiousness, solipsism, lack of perspective, herd conformity, counterproductive pride, forgetfulness of past orthodoxies and lack of aesthetics.
The church holds that Satan is the best friend it has ever had, managing to keep it in business all these years.
Since establishing a branch in Nairobi, the church has however failed to make their location visible to the general public.
