Members of Itierio community and Lutheran church officials have on Monday morning held demonstrations along the streets of Kisii to Suneka against the transfer of school principal Mr Andrew Otara.
Led by Suneka Lutheran Church Official Timothy Ombiro they waved placards and twigs to protest the transfer which they said would affect their performance and above all they were not consulted.
Timothy said the principal had recorded good performance over the years and there was a need for him to be given another chance despite the fact that there was a deadly strike in the school.
They argued that the swapping of the Otara with his counterpart at a local Secondary School was unnecessary and they claimed the new head teacher was a nonperformer.
“The TSC should retain the principal in their school because he is the one who has made Itierio better in terms of performance,” he added.
Contacted for comment on the demonstration Otara did not pick any calls.
