Sunday was not as usual for the Faithfuls at the Blessed Assurance fellowship church in Gachuhi, Njoro after they were forced to hold service outside the church following a leadership row.

According to sources, the row pitting the church pastor John Kagotho and elders originated from the management of church funds.

A section of elders accused the pastor of running the church like a personal business adding that despite being requested to open a church bank account he has refused to do so.

He is said to have triggered a quarrel after elders failed to consult him when purchasing a generator last week.

The faithfuls added that they will not allow to be bulldozed by the pastor.

They questioned why Kagotho served letters to some elders at night informing them that their appointments had been cancelled.

While vowing to remain members of the church the elders whose letters had been signed by the pastor said they will continue fighting for the rights of the church members.

Efforts to reach the pastor for comments were futile as he did not answer calls nor respond to text messages.
