Nakuru catholic diocese has called upon Nakuru residents to help East Pokot and Nadome ethnic clashes victims.

The ethnic based clashes happened earlier this month leaving 60 and several others left without homes. 

Makutani, Loruk, East Pokot and Baringo south were some of most affected areas.

In an interview at Amani radio stations in Nakuru, Episcopal vicar Steven Nyamweya said that the chaos has mostly affected children, women and the elederly.

 “Most of them live in camps and they do not have basics like food, clothing and beddings,’’ said Nyamweya.

Nyamweya urged well wishers to give the needy so that they can help them live a better life. 

Efforts are being made by the government to restore peace in the region where the conflicting communities are advised to surrender their arms.
