A Matatu conductor who wowed Kenyans after he returned a passenger’s wallet which had Sh30,000 has seen his life change completely following his act of kindness.
Just recently, top comedian, Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill, offered to pay his university fees after his story went viral.
Mr Mwaura dropped out of Technical University of Kenya (TUK) in 2011 due to school fees where he was pursuing IT.
“Churchill said he will pay for my studies and so I will go to TUK and check the availability of a part-time course IT course. I intend to register and begin studying as soon as I confirm the course’s availability,” Mr Mwaura told Nairobi News.
Mr Mwaura who is expecting his second-born was also gifted with a free delivery gift package for his wife from Nairobi hospital.
Nairobi hospital usually charges Sh80,000 normal delivery, Sh100,000 assisted delivery, and Sh160,000 cesarean section delivery.
Mr Mwaura, a father of one who operates between Gachie and Nairobi CBD route was on his normal duty as a conductor when he spotted a wallet left on one of the seats by a passenger.
A few days later, Mr Mwaura was called by someone from his working place when the owner of the wallet, Mr Stanley Kaberi had shown up.
“I asked Stanley to meet me at our fire station stage, and when we met, he told me the exact amount which was in his wallet. I, therefore, surrendered all the cash that I was carrying with me,” he said.
