The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has summoned seven Nairobi County officials, including Chief Finance Officer Luke Gatimu, over abuse of office allegations.
The seven county chiefs were grilled at the DCI headquarters in the capital and later locked up in cells.
The Standard reports that they will be arraigned in court today, Wednesday.
The arrests came after Governor Mike Sonko found City Hall cashiers with Sh7 million, that had not been deposited to the bank.
Yesterday, the governor suspended the cashiers to pave way for probe.
