Juja MP Francis Munyua has called upon the CID and the Office of Director of Public Prosecutions to speed up investigations and resolve the confusion that still surrounds the death of Kabete MP George Muchai.
Munyua has said that the two institutions must provide answers without fail, on who murdered the MP and circumstances that led to his death.
At the same time, Munyua has termed the late MP as a veteran champion of workers' right in this country and abroad.
"Muchai has been advocating for workers' rights who have been enslaved by their employers; so he was a man of the people who had no enemies and that is why we are eager to know who did this and the motive behind it,” said Munyua.
The MP noted that if the death of Muchai is left uncovered, similar assassinations may continue to be meted on innocent Kenyans.
“Muchai was a hero, not only in Kiambu but countrywide. He stayed clear of divisive politics and always pressed for peace. His death must not remain a mystery as it may come to haunt us as a nation,” Munyua said.
