Citizen TV Swahili news anchors, Kanze Dena and Lulu Hassan, have urged Kenyans in political rallies, to exercise sobriety.
They appealed to them to be friendly, and value one another, keeping in mind that politics come and go, but cohesion and integration should remain.
Citing Sunday, political public rally by the Opposition's Nasa, in Embakasi East, Nairobi Constituency, Kanze and Lulu said some of the Citizen TV reporters were robbed, as they covered the event, at Donholm's Jacaranda Grounds.
"We must ensure that we exercise peace and be cautious in this political rallies. As we speak, some of our reporters lost their phones and equipment they use in doing their daily activities at work," said Kanze.
The duo spoke during Sunday's Citizen Nipashe programme.
During the rally, it emerged that Nasa co-principals Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi also lost their handsets.
A mammoth of crowd escorted the five principals, Raila Odinga (presidential candidate), Kalonzo Musyoka (deputy), Isaac Ruto, Musalia and Wetangula, from city hall, to the grounds, on foot.
The five were in their vehicles, as transport was paralysed along the roads used including Jogoo.
