Media heavyweights Royal Media Services (RMS) have confirmed that their signal was cut down by the government Tuesday morning.
In a communique mid-morning, RMS said the Communication Authority of Kenya had shut down their Citizen TV and Inooro transmission signals.
RMS Managing Director Waruru Wachira said the outlets had been switched off at the Limuru station.
“We would like to confirm that this morning the Communication Authority disconnected Citizen and Inooro TV transmission,” he said in a statement.
According to Wachira, CAK did not clarify why they were switching them off.
Others switched off include Standard Media Services' KTN and Nation's NTV.
