After undergoing a successful surgery on October 30, 2017, Citizen TV's Lulu Hassan will again be away from the screens for a month.

Hassan underwent the surgery to remove an aluminum plate that was put on her left femur following a road accident that happened in 2010.

Her co-host Kanze Dena had to dispel the rumours by clarifying what was happening with Hassan.Saying she will be using crutches for a while, Hassan spoke to the Nairobian a few days after rumours started spreading that she was involved in an accident.“I did the surgery on October 30 and I’m on bed rest," said Lulu as quoted by the local daily, Sunday.“I am healing well," she said adding that she will be on crutches for a month.“I endured pain and discomfort but Alhamdullilah after the Monday surgery; the plate is out,” Lulu noted. The TV personality is now willing to donate plate to an elderly patient that is in need of it.
