The County government of Nairobi in partnership with private companies launched a monthly clean-up exercise to help end garbage problem in the city.

The launch aim to create awareness to residents on proper waste disposal. 

Mario Kainga, City Hall's Water and Sanitation director admitted waste disposal had been a challenge in the city. 

"The environmental challenges facing city residents is as a result of economic activities we do daily, which later risks our health,'' she said.

The exercise was launched at Upper Hill, Saturday.
