Speaking during a visit to City Hall, Mikio added that  the Japanese government will also offer training to fire fighters countrywide to enhance their fire fighting skills.

"Our Japanese government will guarantee that Nairobi County government fire-fighters are trained on the utilisation of the firefighting gear to improve use of the machines in managing fires," said Mikio

Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke said  Japanese are experts in disaster management and thus their experience would come in handy in improving how disasters will be handled in the capital city.

He further said the accomplishment of the Japan-Nairobi County firefighting association will be the begin of a critical relationship with Japan to battle fire occurrences in the County particularly in the ghetto territories where openness and accessibility is typically a noteworthy concern.
