Nairobi County has suspended its director of communications, Walter Mongare from office to pave the way for efficient service delivery.
In a letter dated May 3, 2016 that was signed by the acting county secretary, Robert Ayisi, Mongare was given up to Wednesday, May 11 to comply by getting out of office or risk being fired and his services completely withdrawn from the county.
It is not yet clear as to why the communications director was suspended but according to the Star, Mongare was relieved from duties following his repeated failure to deliver to the expectations of the City Hall.
The Star further reported that Mongare did not add up to the standards set out by the county governor and so his suspension from the county staff does not come as a surprise owing to the fact that incompetent staff had been forewarned. In the past, Kidero had issued a stern warning to lazy staff members noting that his government has no room for such individuals.
Nairobi County is among the counties in the nation that have been rated highly in service delivery to its residents.
