A Nairobi -based lawyer has dispelled rumours that he has dropped his bid for the Nyamira County gubernatorial seat.
Speaking Sunday via his official Facebook page, Job Nyasimi Momanyi said he was fully in the race and his commitment and vision to serve Nyamira residents still stands.
"I wish to state that I am still very much on course. I am firmly in the gubernatorial race and I am convinced of my victory," he said.
"I wish to urge my supporters and well-wishers to remain steadfast and relentless," he added.
Nyasimi vied unsuccessfully for the Nyamira gubernatorial seat in the last general election on the Republican Liberty Party.
He will battle it out with the incumbent Governor John Nyagarama, World Bank consultant Charles Mochama, West Mugirango constituency MP James Gesami and former Kitutu Masaba legislator Walter Nyambati.
