Kikuyu residents have been urged to come out in large numbers on September 12 in order to benefit from the civil education programme.
Speaking in his office on Tuesday the deputy chairman of Kikuyu branch Youth for change, Mr Francis Kang'ethe said that residents at the grass root level are going to benefit from the programme aimed at educating residents on civil education.
He said that locals had benefited from the programme but this time the programme aimed at reaching out to those in the grassroot level. The civil education programme will be conducted at Kikuyu Ondiri area Kamithu grounds on Saturday from 10am until 4pm. The programme’s aim was to inform locals on their roles in the implementation of the county governance.
Kang'ethe emphasized that locals would have an opportunity to learn in the easiest way possible including in vernacular language to give them a better understanding.
"I want to urge all those locals in the grassroot level to come out in large numbers and get a chance to learn and understand what's required of them in the implementation of the county governance," said Kang'ethe.
He also revealed that many residents in towns have no clue of what's required of them hence urging them to also be part of the education.
