Chief Justice David Maraga has condemned the attack on a magistrate, a complainant and a police officer at the Nakuru Law Courts.
In a statement to newsrooms on Tuesday, the CJ said the Judiciary will not be intimidated by cowardly acts.
"I wish to strongly condemn the Tuesday attack on the Resident Magistrate at Nakuru Law Courts, Hon Eunice Kelly, the complainant in the case she was trying, and a police officer attached to the court. I wish them a quick recovery," said CJ Maraga.
“I want the public to know that we will continue to discharge our duties without fear, and will not be intimidated by such cowardly acts," he added.
Michael Kahoro stabbed the magistrate with a screw driver after he was handed a three-year jail sentence for assault.
Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu will today (Wednesday) visit Nakuru Law Courts to meet with judicial officers, staff and the affected parties on the matter.
