Mutula Junior argues that the country is heading into the wrong direction should the government institutions and officers continues to disobeying court decisions.

The senator says that Maraga should stand firm and condemn the behavior that   he said is getting out of at hand and portraying the country as a rogue state.

“The CJ must now stand firm and give the country directions on the continued disobedience of court orders by State officials,” he said as quoted by a local daily.

Mutula Junior said that the constitution   has been clearly abused by the Jubilee administration.

He said that the government move to disobey court orders to release  self-declared NRM leader Miguna Miguna who has since been deported to Dubai was  a slap on the faces of Kenyans who  voted in support of the 210 constitution.

Mutula Junior says that unless the government is tamed against disobeying court orders, the country could easily slip into anarchy.

Miguna was deported on Wednesday night to Dubai three days after jetting into the country from Canada where he had been deported earlier. The controversial Canadian based lawyer was denied entry into the country on Monday grounds that he was undocumented passenger.

Miguna’s detention and deportation has elicited sharp reactions and condemnation in the country and across the borders.

On Wednesday, High Court Judge George Odunga convicted Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, Immigration Director Gordon Kihalangwa and Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet over contempt of court.

The three government officials defied court orders to personally produce Miguna in court.

Justice Odunga will sentence the three this morning even as reports emerge that Miguna will be deported back to Nairobi following an order the United Arabs Emirates (UAE) Government.

According to media reports, the UAE government has suspended all flights from Nairobi to Dubai over Miguna’s deportation.
