Chief Justice David Maraga visited Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyajui Friday morning.

Maraga paid the governor a courtesy call at his office in the county headquarters accompanied by other top judges and judiciary officials.

Kinyajui said Maraga lauded him for being elected the county's boss as well as his 'people-driven leadership'.

During the brief meeting, the CJ urged all leaders and Kenyans at large to protect the constitution.

"H.E Governor Lee Kinyanjui has this morning hosted Chief Justice David Maraga at his County Government of Nakuru headquarters office," a statement from Kinyanjui's office said.

He added: "During the meeting the Supreme Court president called upon leaders at all levels of Government and Kenyans in general to uphold and protect the constitution."

Kinyanjui said there is need to discharge bestowed mandates in accordance withcthe Constitution and individual oaths of office.

Amongst those who received the CJs team were Nakuru County Government Chief of Staff Njoroge Zakaria Gichuhi, the County's CEC for Youth, Culture, Gender, Sports and Social Services Ms Halima Gababa Abdullahi and the governor's political advisor Beatrice Nyawira.
