Nyamira County gubernatorial aspirant Charles Mochama has challenged his competitor, former Kitutu Masaba MP Walter Nyambati to come out and clear the air over his alleged ‘two’ names.
Mochama has asked Nyambati, the chairman Jomo Kenyatta Foundation to explain to the people of Nyamira who is Walter Nyambati Osebe, and Enock Walter Nyambati Osebe; two names that the former MP is accused of using.
“Let the honourable tell us who is Enock Nyambati Osebe and who Is Walter Enock Nyambati Osebe, this issue of people hiding in peoples’ certificates to lure us to vote for them has been known now and we cannot allow, we need a real leader to serve the people of Nyamira not people whom we are not sure of their academic credentials,” Mochama said.
“Every candidate this time needs to show the people his or her real education papers and education background as an example of a leader with integrity and a role model to the society,” Mochama added.
Mochama has been vocal on the importance of electing a leader who has the knowledge to improve Nyamira and make it a better county.
“We know the performance records of those who have been in power and those who are fighting to be elected as the governors in Nyamira County, we are watching you, time has come when everybody is awake and no misleading this time,” he went on.
The race for the top seat is heating, with top leaders in the area fighting to oust the incumbent Governor John Nyagarama.
