Pastor Edward Kamau of Uthiru Church of Christ said that the nation needs mindful Kenyans with the spirit of mercy.

Kenyatta has been spearheading a campaign dubbed 'Beyond Zero Campaign' that seeks to provide maternal and child care to Kenya women

Speaking yesterday at Uthiru during a church service, the clergy said that through First Lady's effort, many women, who have been in desperation, are now breathing life.

“Women who have been silently suffering due to maternal complications have now something to smile with introduction of mobile clinics by Kenyatta,” said Kamau.

On Sunday, Kenyattta conducted a 21 km race to raise money to help in the purchase of mobile clinics to help minimize the dangers associated with child bearing in rural areas.

The clergy praised the life saving campaign as a land mark in the fight against mortality.

“With mobile clinics, many women will now able to access affordable health care,” added Kamau.

Kenyatta's project seeks to also donate fully-kitted mobile clinics in all 47 counties, and already 21 counties have been beneficiaries of the project.

Kamau said that the complications being witnessed by women in remote areas would be a thing of past.

“Beyond Zero Campaign will positively impact on the lives of rural women. We want the society to take its part and exercise passion to the underprivileged,” said Kamau.
